I’ve been blogging a lot of recent weddings but I wanted to dip into the archives to show you a wedding I shot this past winter in Roanoke, Virginia. Maybe its cool, winter vibe will chill us all out, because we really need it in the dog days.
Caitrin and Grey chose to marry in Roanoke and have their reception at the stunning Taubman Museum of Art. We started out the day’s festivities at the Hotel Roanoke.
A joyous Father sees his beautiful daughter in her wedding dress for the first time.
Kim Wadsworth spun her web of magic and beautified a bevy of already lovely women.
Meanwhile Grey is having a great time with his Father. The ceremony was at Roanoke’s gorgeous St. Andrew’s.
This spectacularly lovely event was designed by the incomparable Isha Foss. She truly pulled out all the stops, and created a shimmering nightscape of vivid violets to warm the heart. I loved all the flowers, but the tumbling orchids were my favorites. The flowers were created by Corsair Floral, with Isha’s art direction. The Jangling Reinharts provided the evenings entertainment. They’re one of my favorite Virginia party bands.
The lighting was truly jaw dropping. Jeremy of Blue Steel told me they brought in a Laser Lighting system from Saudi Arabia for this event.
The light collages were stunning, and the event glowed, as you can see.
Towards the end of the evening a Dr. Pepper Float Bar was opened. A yummy way to wind down, for sure. The cool (ha) Ice Bar was created by Ice Art. I think it’s obvious I had a really, really tough time choosing what to blog. So much eye candy it was a sensory overload : )
