Romantic, Lovely Hermitage Museum Wedding in Norfolk, Virginia

Deanna and Aaron’s lovely wedding took place at the  stunning Hermitage Museum, on the water in Norfolk. I was so flattered when Deanna asked me to photograph her wedding, as she is an accomplished photographer herself.  The wedding was recently published in the Knot, and I’ve added  scans of the spread below:

The day started as a beautiful garden wedding, and ended as a happy southern shindig, which is what happens at the best weddings : )

The Jangling Reinharts, one of my favorite wedding bands, kept everyone mightily entertained.

Deanna assembled quite an arsenal of wonderful vendors to bring her wedding vision to life.  This attention to quality and detail really paid off, as her wedding has been published in the Knot, as you can see, and also on the popular blog, the Bride’s Cafe. How this happened is still beyond the scope of my comprehension but I am thrilled nonetheless! Impressive Deanna!!!!

Deanna purchased the garter on etsy.  It is so beautifully made and unique.

Kim Porter enhanced Deanna’s natural beauty with wonderful makeup.

Deanna’s lovely ruffled and tiered dress is a Pronovias design from Maya Couture.  Maya also designed a custom, couture veil for Deanna.

Vintage jewelry embellished each bouquet, and the combination of peonies, ranunculus, lambs ears and english roses is one of my favorites.

This charming memory board, displayed on old shutters, is a unique way to honor family and loved ones.Leslie Hartig created the lovely florals, and Jill Brown of Sunkissed Events planned and coordinated the event. I love how the cake, from Cake Delights, mirrors the flounces on Deanna’s gorgeous gown.

I could go on and on about my love for tented garden weddings.  This wedding was so fresh, lovely and personal it took my breath away.

I shot this wedding last summer, and since then, Deanna and Aaron have welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world.  Congratulations and much happiness to the three of you, you’re off to a great start!!  xooxoxoxoxoxo-e
